Discover Your Future: Join Us at Landmarks College Open Days!

Why Our Open Days Are Essential for Potential Learners and Parents with SEND

Deciding on the right educational path for a young person with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is an important decision for both learners and their families. At Landmarks College, we’re committed to providing a supportive, hands-on learning environment that empowers learners to reach their full potential. Our open days offer a fantastic opportunity to learn more about how we can help SEND learners achieve success in education and beyond.

Whether your young person is interested in developing life skills, focusing on a vocation or achieving employability, our open days are the perfect chance to discover everything we have to offer. If you’re wondering why you should attend, here’s a closer look at what makes our open days so valuable.

Discover Our Hands-On Learning Approach

At Landmarks, we believe in learning by doing. That’s why our open days provide a unique opportunity to see how we offer practical, real-world learning experiences across a variety of sessions.

From working in our community pub, The Archer, to gaining valuable skills in our bistro, taking part in horticulture and land-based studies at our farm, plus much more! Our learners are immersed in hands-on experiences that make learning engaging and effective. Our open days give families a chance to see first hand how we provide tailored support for SEND learners while fostering personal development and life skills.

During an open day, potential learners can explore our various subjects, interact with staff, and learn more about how we incorporate industry-standard qualifications alongside practical training. This hands-on approach helps learners gain the skills and confidence they need to pursue a successful career in the hospitality industry, retail, or more specialised areas of their choice.

Support for Every Step of the Journey

One of the things that sets Landmarks College apart is our commitment to supporting learners every step of the way. We know that every student is unique, which is why we tailor our programmes to meet the individual needs of each learner. Our experienced team provides personalised support, whether that means adjusting teaching methods, offering additional help in specific areas, or providing visual learning schedules.

During our open days, parents and learners can meet our staff, tour our sites, and ask any questions about the kind of support we offer. This is a great opportunity to see how we create an inclusive learning environment where each student is given the resources they need to thrive.

Multiple Locations to Choose From

We understand that convenience is key when choosing an educational provider, so we offer open days at several of our sites. Each location provides different opportunities depending on your learner’s interests and needs, but all share the same commitment to supporting SEND learners in a welcoming, hands-on environment.

Here are the upcoming open days across our campuses:

  • Rotherham – Feb 7 – 10am – 12pm | May 6 – 5pm – 7pm
  • Nottingham – Feb 13 – 5pm – 7pm | May 13 – 5pm – 7pm

Attending an open day at any of these locations gives families and carers the opportunity to see how we provide real-world training, explore our facilities, and understand the type of support learners can expect throughout their journey with us.

Make Informed Decisions About Your Young Person’s Future

We know that choosing the right place for your young person’s education is a big decision. Our open days are designed to provide you with all the information you need to make an informed choice. You’ll be able to ask questions, meet with our staff, and see the learning environment in person.

Whether you’re looking for a supportive environment for your young person to gain vocational skills, pursue further qualifications, or develop independent living skills, our open days give you everything you need to understand how we can help your young person achieve their potential.

A Future Full of Opportunities

At Landmarks Specialist College, we empower learners aged 16-25 with learning difficulties and disabilities to succeed academically and in life. Our open days showcase the hands-on experiences that help learners grow into confident, skilled individuals. To attend, learners must have an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP).

Join us at an open day to discover how we can help your young person reach their full potential. We look forward to welcoming you!
