Marcus’s time at Landmarks has been filled with new experiences, practical learning and opportunities to develop his independence. Over three years, he became more confident in different environments, built positive friendships and developed his communication skills.
A big part of Marcus’s journey was learning through doing. At the Farm, he worked with animals, helped to maintain the grounds and developed practical skills that gave him new experiences and responsibilities.
Marcus also spent time developing the skills needed for everyday life. Through community activities, he learned more about staying safe, making purchases and becoming increasingly independent when out and about.
Marcus explored a range of activities including Games and Connect, Creative Media and Music. These experiences helped him develop teamwork, digital and communication skills while discovering the things he enjoyed most.
Music became a real highlight of Marcus’s time at Landmarks. From performing alongside his peers to taking on a solo performance, Marcus continued to build his confidence. His achievements also included taking 1st place in Battle of the Bands.
Alongside his practical and academic achievements, Marcus worked on understanding and expressing his feelings, communicating appropriately and developing strategies to support his self-regulation.
Marcus leaves Landmarks with a wide range of experiences, qualifications and skills, as well as greater confidence and independence for the next stage of his journey.
Everyone at Landmarks is incredibly proud of Marcus and everything he has achieved over the last three years.
