Landmarks learners can now learn, develop and gain valuable real-world experience at the Creswell Heritage and Wellbeing Centre.
Based within a live community venue, the Centre offers a range of facilities including a gym, café, sports hall and wellbeing spaces, providing learners with opportunities to develop practical skills in sport, hospitality, customer service, health and wellbeing, and event support.
Learning in a real working environment helps learners build confidence, independence and employability skills, while gaining meaningful experience that can support their next steps into adult life, further training, volunteering or employment.
Learners can also make use of the Centre’s facilities as part of their wider college experience, helping them develop skills and confidence in a welcoming community setting.

Through Supported Internships delivered by our Wayfinder WorkConnect team, learners access structured vocational pathways designed to prepare them for employment, volunteering, or further training.
These programmes focus on building essential employability skills such as communication, teamwork, responsibility, and problem-solving through real-life, supported work experience across the site.
With personalised support, learners are encouraged to progress at their own pace, gaining the confidence and skills needed for successful next steps into adult life and the workplace.
Our fully equipped gym and sports hall provide a safe, supportive environment where learners take part in vocational and employability-focused sessions designed to build confidence, independence, and practical skills.
The gym supports fitness, strength, and healthy routines through sessions tailored to individual ability and personal goals, helping learners build motivation, perseverance, and the ability to work towards targets.
The sports hall is used for structured activities and team-based sessions that develop communication, teamwork, and cooperation, helping learners prepare for real workplace environments through shared, supported experiences.
Our on-site café is open to the public and provides a welcoming space to relax and enjoy refreshments. Learners support the café by serving customers, taking orders, and assisting with daily operations, gaining valuable experience in customer service, communication, and workplace skills.
The children and young people’s play area is designed for younger children to enjoy safely. Learners support the upkeep of the space, helping to keep it clean, organised, and welcoming as part of their vocational and employability development, building responsibility and experience in a real community setting.
