Independence Skills

Subject Overview

Build the practical skills and confidence you need to live more independently.

Independence Skills gives learners the opportunity to develop practical skills for everyday life, helping them become more confident, capable and prepared for adulthood.

Learners explore areas such as cooking, budgeting, personal care, household tasks, travel, communication, organisation and making choices. Sessions are practical and focus on skills that learners can use at home, in their local community and in the workplace.
